Biography

Nicolas Solente has led key waste management projects both in France and internationally, first with Areva, now Orano, and then with Andra. With Areva, he has managed operational and engineering projects, with a focus on waste disposal issues. With Andra, he has managed international projects (China, Korea, Ukraine, Iraq, Emirates, Saudi…), and has provided expert services, on technical and legislative issues, in more than 30 countries. Mr. Solente is French, aged 63, and holds a MSc in applied geology and geophysics. Prior to joining the nuclear industry, he was an oil industry engineer then manager for Schlumberger.
