Biography

CURRICULUM VITAE Jan Deckers became in 1979 Engineer in Nuclear Energy & Chemistry. In 1991 he awarded the degree of Master in Environmental Sanitation at the University of Gent. Since the beginning of his professional career he worked as well on non-nuclear and nuclear waste treatment processes and in particular thermal waste treatment. In 1990 he started at Belgoprocess as project engineer for radioactive waste incineration. In 1994 he became operation manager for waste processing and storage of low, medium and high level waste. Now he is technical business manager for international waste treatment activities and projects He assists in different international consultancy programs for radioactive waste management
