Biography

I am currently PDRA at the university of Bristol. My research is focusing on the corrosion behaviour of metals (mainly uranium) in cementitious formulations and metallic sludges being present in the nuclear waste reprocessing facilities in the UK. Both experimental (SEM, EDS, XRT, XRD) and modelling (FEM) are being used to investigate the behaviour of systems being simulant to the real waste packages, which have been used over the last 30 years to temporarily store materials classified as Intermediate Level Waste (ILW) after fuel reprocessing.
