Biography

My name is Tamires Watanabe and I am eighteen years old. I am currently a chemical engineering student at Faculdades Oswaldo Cruz and I have just started a scientific initiation at the Nuclear and Energy Research Institute, more precisely at the Radioactive Waste Management. My study is mainly about the treatment of waste containing organic compounds through the biosorption process. As a researcher, I look forward to working on projects in the field of environmental and management issues to promote low-cost and effective solutions for the disposal of hazardous materials. These processes include the use of microwave for the degradation of TENORM. Therefore, I am really excited about the opportunity in participating in WM Symposia.
