University of Manchester
Originally from Portsmouth, UK, I studied a combined Bachelors/Masters degree in Chemistry at the Univerisity of Manchester. My 3rd year was spent in industry working for Lubrizol in organic synthesis. After achieving First class honours in my degree, I started postgraduate research at the University of Manchester's Dalton Cumbrian Facility, where I am currently investigating the radiation-induced chemical reactions of the gaseous material inside stored PuO2 vessels. I spent 3 months on secondment with Nuclear Technologies Ltd. as a consultant intern, where I was involved with numerous projects and companies within the UK's waste management and decommissioning sector. Proudly awarded the Roy. G. Post Foundation Scholarship for WMS18.
