Biography

Anagha Lokhande is a second-year medical student at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University where she serves as a student advisor to the medical curriculum committee and a student course leader of the health policy and surgical subspecialties pre-clerkship electives. Since earning her Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Brown University, she has worked on outreach efforts for Covid Act Now (a COVID-19 data dissemination non-profit organization), served as an intern for the health policy team of the US Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions, and provided research assistance for the National Public Radio Science Desk. Anagha’s past research includes cost-effectiveness analysis of machine learning-based models for fluid resuscitation, characterization of the USH1C gene involved in hereditary vision and hearing loss, and machine learning prediction of stillbirth. Her current research interests include ophthalmic drug pricing analysis and investigation of structure-function relationships in glaucomatous visual field loss. She is currently a research intern at the Harvard Ophthalmology Artificial Intelligence Lab.
