Biography

Mrs. Milagros "Mili" Henríquez-Soto, M.Ed., is a distinguished educator with over 35 years of experience in Puerto Rico and Texas. Her extensive career includes diverse roles, from bilingual teacher to Director of Dual Language Curriculum for one of Texas's largest school districts. In this role, she oversaw the development, implementation, and support of the dual language curriculum. Since 2020, Mrs. Henríquez has been a valued member of Dr. Sandra Mercuri's Educational Consultants team. As a consultant, she designs custom dual language curricula and delivers job-embedded professional development to numerous school districts across Texas. Most recently, she began serving as an Adjunct Professor in the College of Education at the University of Houston Clear Lake. In recognition of her excellence in education, Ms. Henríquez was honored with a Milken Educator Award in 2002. She holds a Master's Degree in Teacher Leadership and English as a Second Language from Lamar University, Texas.
