Biography

Mark Schmitz is the Chief Operating Officer and Deputy Project Manager for Savannah River Site’s Liquid Waste Contractor Savannah River Remediation (SRR). He is responsible for execution of innovative strategies to complete the High Level Waste disposition mission. Mr. Schmitz has extensive experience in the management of complex nuclear facilities with leadership assignments in material disposition, tritium, plutonium and uranium separation, non-proliferation, decommissioning and demolition, waste management, soil and groundwater remediation and environment, safety and health.
