US DOE Portsmouth/Paducah Project Office
Mr. Bettinger joined the Department of Energy’s Portsmouth/Paducah Project Office as Site Lead of the Portsmouth Gaseous Diffusion Plant in November, 2018, where he is responsible for managing the environmental remediation and deactivation and demolition (D&D) of DOE’s former gaseous diffusion plant and associated facilities. Formerly a Senior Project Manager with APTIM/CB&I/Shaw, Mr. Bettinger has nearly 40 years of experience in the design, operation, remediation and D&D of facilities that processed hazardous materials including radiological, biological and chemical weapons. Mr. Bettinger is a Professional Engineer and holds a BS degree in Chemical Engineering from Michigan Technological University.
