Gloria Pereyra- Robertson is the 2017 Oregon State Teacher of the Year. She is a first-generation Latina bilingual educator with 28 years of experience in Title 1 schools and is a recipient of multiple teaching excellence awards, including being a 2025 National Teachers Hall of Fame Finalist. She has a master’s in Bilingual Cross-Cultural Education and a bachelor’s in Spanish literature with ESL endorsements in two states. She blends academic rigor with cultural insight and is known for empowering diverse learners through inclusive and innovative strategies. Gloria bridges language gaps to build community, foster equity and inspire achievement. She brings her unique authentic lived experiences as an ELL student herself to the table with unwavering commitment to multilingual learners, amplifying the message that multilingualism is not just an asset, but a superpower.
