Ms. Olivia Fox Cotton is a Scientist at Aptima, Inc. with a background in the fields of cognitive neuroscience, human factors psychology, and cognitive systems engineering. Her research centers on the application of physiology to better understand complex human performance and abilities. She has extensive research experience in the areas of state assessment, proficiency assessment, performance measurement, visual attention, neuroimaging, and ecological display design. Ms. Fox Cotton holds a MS in Human Factors and Industrial Organizational Psychology from Wright State University, and a BA in Psychology from Clemson University. She is currently a doctoral candidate in Human Factors and Industrial Organizational Psychology at Wright State University, where she conducts neuroergonomic research using techniques including electroencephalography, functional magnetic resonance imaging, and eye tracking in the Human Neuroscience and Visual Cognition Laboratory.
