Biography

Chris Woods is the preseident and CEO of Woods Engineering, LLC. Chris spent over thirteen years as a geotechnical consultant practicing throughout the eastern seaboard of the United States, as well as southern Asia. Chris earned his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering Degree from Purdue University and his Master’s Degree in Geotechnical Engineering from Virginia Tech. Chris’ project experience ranges from large-scale retail developments, schools, and government facilities, to high-rise residential and office structures, arenas, stadiums, and waterfronts. His geotechnical consulting experience includes design of shallow and deep foundation systems; evaluation of earth slope stability; design of retaining walls; design of ground improvement programs; geotechnical instrumentation monitoring, and extensive construction oversight.
