Biography

I was trained in theoretical physics and applied mathematics. After I received my Ph.D. in laser physics in 2003, I joined The University of Texas Medical Branch and started my postdoctoral research in optical imaging. From 2009 to 2012, I was a research faculty member in the Department of Ophthalmology at University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. From 2012 to 2018, I was a principal scientist at Wasatch Photonics to develop new functional and swept-source OCT technologies. I joined Northwestern University as a research specialist and Opticent Health as head of product development in 2018.
