Tulane University School of Medicine
My name is Reeya Shrestha. I am originally from Kathmandu, Nepal. I moved to the United States when I was 13 years old. I graduated with my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from George Washington University and with my Master of Science in Pharmacology from Tulane University. I am currently a second year medical school student attending Tulane University School of Medicine and I am interested in Ophthalmology. I worked as a research intern at Mass Eye and Ear this past summer which solidified my interest in Ophthalmology. I worked with Dr. O’Hare on a project on Diabetic Retinopathy. I am also currently working on a research project with Dr. Zhang on a retrospective study comparing efficacy and safety of glaucoma surgeries at Tulane Hospital. During weekends, I love to cook and I also have a YouTube cooking channel. I can speak 4 languages fluently.
