Biography

I'm a graduate of the University of Alcalá de Henares, where I earned my bachelor's and master's degree in environmental sciences in 2008. I obtained a postgraduate certification in secondary education the same year and completed a master's in occupational safety in 2009. After working at the University of Alcalá until 2009, I taught mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, and geology at Colegio Divino Corazón in Madrid. During my time there, I served as the logistics coordinator and the coordinator for international exchange programs. In 2017, I moved to the United States to teach in the Spanish Immersion Program at Westdale Middle School, where I also became the first teacher of the high school agroscience program in Spanish in a middle school in Louisiana. Currently, I collaborate as an assistant in the Magnet Immersion Program and co-write for the nationally recognized certificate. Our school received the Distinction Award in 2023 and was named a Top Magnet School of Excellence in 2024. Additionally, I served as the Host Committee Chair for NABE 2023 and was honored as the National Teacher of the Year by Magnet Schools of America for 2023-2024.
