Biography

Ms. Liliana Cobos earned her Bachelor of Arts in Bilingual Education. In her 20 years of education, she has worked in the classroom in the Bilingual and One-Way Dual Language for Emergent Bilingual students. Thereafter, Ms. Cobos was selected by the Suburban Houston Association of Bilingual Education as the SHABE Bilingual Teacher of 2014. With a passion of language acquisition and cultural diversity, she pursued her Masters in the field of English Language Learners (ELL) education to enhance her expertise in teaching and supporting students from a diverse linguistic background. During her master’s experience, she gained knowledge of best practices and strategies to help Emergent Bilinguals. She demonstrated dedication and deep understanding of the challenges faced by English Language Learners and focused on their specific needs to help them acquire a second language. She is currently assigned to a position as a District Multilingual Primary Coach and provides her services with Aldine ISD. Her experience includes Coaching teachers/Instructional Specialists; developing lessons utilizing High-Quality Instructional Material; implementing research-based instructional activities and strategies to ensure that our Emergent Bilingual students have equitable access to a quality educational experience.
