Biography

Pia Castilleja is currently a Senior Program Associate in WestEd’s English Learner and Migrant Education Services. She has devoted her professional life to creating effective professional partnerships as project leader, consultant, and educator. She specializes in developing multi-year collaborations to promote and strengthen teacher expertise and educator talent, leading the QTEL Apprenticeship, the WestED-ELMES led certification effort. Pía began her career in education developing an adult education program in her native Mexico, and designing and leading professional education projects for the Mexican Foreign Service.
