Andrea McMurray is a Research Specialist at Texas A&M University (TAMU), where she serves as the lead coordinator for Project Enhancing Quality Teacher Preparation Through Research-Based Instructional Best Practices for Bilingual and English Learners (EBEST) and the curriculum coordinator for Project Virtually-Infused Collaborations for Teaching and Learning Opportunities for Rural Youth (VICTORY) as well as a doctoral student in Educational Psychology with an emphasis in Bilingual/ESL Education. Andrea also serves as visiting faculty for the Department of Educational Psychology and teaches ESL Methods courses at Texas A&M University. She holds an M.Ed. in Educational Administration and a BS in Early Childhood Education. Before coming to TAMU, Andrea spent 20 years working as an educator with emergent bilingual students. Her research interests include Bilingual/ESL education, teacher preparation and professional development, and family engagement.
