Biography

Heather Benitez is a passionate and experienced educator with over 17 years of experience working with English learners. Originally from the Rio Grande Valley in South Texas, Heather now resides in San Antonio, Texas where she serves as the Coordinator of Bilingual/ESL Programs, Library Services, & Science 9-12 in Schertz-Cibolo-Universal City ISD. Heather's commitment to education and helping students succeed is evident in her work. She holds a master's degree in Educational Leadership from UTRGV, which has provided her with the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively lead and support her team. Throughout her career, Heather has worked tirelessly to support English learners, ensuring that they have access to the resources and tools they need to succeed. She understands the unique challenges that these students face and works to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment where they can thrive.
