Eduardo Mosqueda is an Associate Professor of Education at the University of California Santa Cruz. His career in education began as a middle school mathematics teacher in Santa Ana, California. He completed his doctoral studies at the Harvard Graduate School of Education and was awarded a Spencer Dissertation Fellowship. His research primarily examines the relationship between the English proficiency of Linguistic Minority students, and issues of access to rigorous mathematics courses. His recent research examines bilingual approaches to teaching mathematics in secondary STEM courses. He was a Co-Principal Investigator of the Math And Language, Literacy Integration (MALLI) project, a U.S. Department of Education NPD grant (2018-22). He is the Principal Investigator of the Leveraging Bilingualism and Literacy for Secondary English Learner STEM Content Access grant (Project Leverage) awarded by the National Professional Development (NPD) Center and funded by the U.S. Department of Education (2021-26). He has authored or co-authored articles in the Review of Research in Education, Equity and Excellence in Education, and the Journal of Urban Mathematics Education.
