Lymaris Marrero Lorenzo is a Dual Language Curriculum Specialist in Seminole County Public Schools in the state of Florida where she instilled a love for language and culture spearheading efforts to promote bilingualism, biliteracy, and culturally responsive learning environments. A passionate educator from the island of Puerto Rico brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the realm of education. With a bachelor’s degree in education, a master’s degree in School Administration, and currently pursuing a Doctorate in Education (Ed. D), Lymaris is deeply committed to advancing the field of education. Over the past 20 years, Lymaris has served in various roles within the education sector. Beginning as a dedicated classroom teacher for all grade levels, she honed her pedagogical skills and fostered a nurturing learning environment for her students. Transitioning into school leadership, Lymaris spent seven years as a visionary principal, where she led initiatives focused on student success, staff development, community engagement, and strengthening partnerships with the private sector like universities and programs for learning a second language. Driven by a passion for educational equity and innovation, Lymaris is dedicated to empowering students, educators, and communities to thrive. With a firm belief in the transformative power of education, she continues to advocate for inclusive, student-centered learning environments that inspire lifelong learners.
