CABE
Maria Villa-Marquez is the Deputy Director for the California Association for Bilingual Education (CABE), an educational non-profit organization incorporated in 1975 to promote bilingual education and quality educational experiences for all students in California. She has served as Deputy Director for two years and formerly as the Director of Family Engagement for 14 years for CABE. Prior to coming to CABE she was the Project Coordinator for the California State University of Long Beach, coordinating a longitudinal research project named DELSS (Development of Early Literacy in Spanish-Speaking Children). Maria obtained her B.A. in Liberal Arts with a concentration in Spanish in 2001 and her Master of Arts in Early Childhood Education in 2006.
