Biography

After graduating from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM), I worked as an HS Biology teacher in Mexico City for the first five years of my teaching career. I moved to the US in 2001, where I worked supporting newcomers in Math and Science in middle school classrooms. Later I taught bilingual math and science in 4th and 5th bilingual classrooms. As a Ph.D. student, I'm interested in the intersection of language and science education.
