Dr. Lindsay Meeker is a professor of early childhood and early child researcher. She also serves on the California Dual Language Preschool PLC with the Migrant Policy Institute and National Institute for Early Childhood Education, as well as workforce development and Early Childhood Multilingual policy consultant for Latino Policy Forum, IL. Her previous experiences include teacher of multilingual learners grades Prek-2 and Special Education (ECE-Grade 12), Director of Multilingual Learners, Early Childhood Director for State Funded Dual Preschool and Head Start, English Language Development Coach in Dual Language (K-2), and Infant/Toddler and Preschool teacher in community-based childcare. Her current research interests include ESL/Bilingual programming in Birth to 5 settings, play and language, equity in early childhood, and yoga for children and their families. Her published works include Chapter Contributor for “Stories of School Yoga: Narratives From the Field” (SUNY PRESS, 2019) and Family Perspectives on Yoga in Schools: A Qualitative Study (Proquest, 2020 -Dissertation - NCU), and Equity for English Learners in COVID-19 (2022), as well as diverse children’s book reviews for Purdue University.
