Lake Worth High School
Dr. Simone Ramos is an assistant principal at Lake Worth High School in Florida and an Instructor at Florida Atlantic University. With 19 years of experience as an educator, Dr. Ramos is passionate about working with underrepresented populations and creating opportunities for their voices to be heard and valued. She advocates for just, equitable, and inclusive education. Dr. Ramos' personal story of learning different languages in different countries and being an English learner has shaped her philosophy of researching, teaching, and leading. Through her research, she has discovered that school leaders play a crucial role in creating structures that move beyond tolerance to genuine acceptance and appreciation for different heritage languages and cultures.
