I am a passionate educator with a deep commitment to fostering inclusive and equitable learning environments. Over the last 15 years, my journey in the field of education has been dedicated to supporting emergent bilingual learners in the vibrant community of Houston. Throughout my career, I have embraced the diversity of language and culture that enriches our classrooms and empowers our students. As an advocate for linguistic diversity, I firmly believe that every language is a gateway to knowledge and understanding, and I have strived to create opportunities for students to embrace their multilingual identities. My work has been centered around developing tailored curricula that accommodate the unique needs of emergent bilingual learners, recognizing the importance of maintaining their native languages while acquiring English proficiency. I firmly believe in fostering a nurturing and inclusive environment where students feel empowered to express themselves and celebrate their cultural backgrounds without hesitation.
