Biography

Megan Budke is the Immersion, Indigenous, and World Languages Coordinator for St. Paul Public Schools in Minnesota. She has fifteen years of experience working in public education, including twelve years teaching middle school Spanish at Wayzata Public Schools (Plymouth, MN) and six years working at the district level for both Wayzata and St. Paul Public Schools. She holds a B.A. in Spanish, Spanish Education, and International Studies from North Dakota State University (Fargo, ND) as well as a M.A. in Curriculum and Instruction from St. Mary’s University of Minnesota (Minneapolis, MN). She served as the 2020 President of Minnesota Council on the Teaching of Languages and Cultures (MCTLC) with a focus on amplifying marginalized voices and narratives. An avid state, regional, and national conference presenter, she is passionate about curriculum development and alignment, performance assessments, equitable grading and reporting practices, and supporting less commonly taught languages.
