Biography

Alejandra is an administrator of a Spanish Bilingual Middle-School in Calgary Alberta. She has a Bachelor Degree in Applied Chemistry followed with a Bachelor Degree in Education. After teaching language and content for a couple of years Alejandra decided to specialize in Language Teaching taking a Masters of Education in Language Learning and Creativity in Education. Alejandra has held a variety of positions within the Calgary Board of Education including Language Learning Leader, System Wide Language Specialist, and Administrator at the elementary level and middle school level. Alejandra has had the opportunity to lead several training sessions for Language Teachers and Bilingual School Administrators in the areas of Dual Language Pedagogies, Translanguaging, Content and Language Integrated Learning, and the Neurolisnguistic Approach.
