Biography

Jennie Bautista Bowers is a program specialist at AVID Center. In her role, she works alongside her team to develop resources and professional learning experiences that support multilingual scholars. As a multilingual learner herself, Jennie is passionate about AVID’s asset-based approach toward multilingual learner instruction. Jennie has served as a dual language teacher, lead English Language Development teacher, and curriculum writer within urban, suburban, and county school districts. Jennie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education and a Master of Education in Diverse Learning from Trinity International University in Deerfield, IL.
