Biography

Christopher Lowe has taught English and Creative Writing and worked in student services for 17 years. He spent a decade as a fiction faculty member in the MFA program at McNeese State University, where he mentored a diverse group of graduate students, including multilingual and international students. He currently serves as the Director of Student Success at the College of Education at Northern Illinois University, where he develops innovative ways to support multilingual students as they move through their degree programs. He is the author of Those Like Us (Stephen F. Austin State University Press, 2011) and Make Some Wretched Fool to Pay (University of Louisiana Press, forthcoming). His fiction and essays have been published widely in journals and magazines including Bellevue Literary Review, Quarterly West, Booth, Third Coast, Florida Review, and Baltimore Review. He is a contributing editor at Story Magazine.
