Biography

Nicola believes that every child can learn when provided with support and by fostering a relationship that promotes academic, behavioral, and social/emotional development among all stakeholders. She earned a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership and holds a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. Additionally, she is certified in Exceptional Student Education (ESE), English Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), and Reading Endorsement. With around 18 years of experience in the public school system, she currently serves as a Multilingual Services District for Orange County Public Schools. In this role, she provides support for K-12 interventions and facilitates professional learning for English Language Learners. Nicola also teaches adult English learners in the community English program at UCF Global virtually. With the Online English Program, students can start developing English proficiency at home, and transition to the University on campus programs. ‘When you learn, teach.
