Biography

Dr. Culver has spent his professional career focused on advocating for underrepresented populations, and ensuring that all voices are heard, elevated, and celebrated. Culver has had the honor of serving in the field of education since 2013 where he has held a variety of positions including teacher, building administrator, and district level administrator. Culver currently holds a Superintendent certification, and has served in a variety of cabinet level positions bringing second order change to organizations. In addition, he serves as the President of the Oklahoma Association for Bilingual Education. He previously served the Oklahoma Association of Bilingual Education as the newsletter editor from 2013-2015, and President-Elect in 2022. Culver served on the panel for the 100 day conversation focused on helping improve public education for the new Federal government and administration, was part of the Moving Up cohort with OU and EDUTAS, and served as a School Improvement Grant advisory review board member. Culver earned a Bachelor's in English Education and a Master's in Educational Leadership from Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. Recently, Christopher defended his dissertation where he researched the collective impact between motivation and school culture and the impact on overall teacher retention, and graduated with a Doctorate of Education in Educational Leadership and Administration.
