Fitchburg State University
Dr. Lynn D’Agostino is currently an assistant professor at Fitchburg State University in Massachusetts. She teaches a variety of courses, including an Introduction to Cultural Competency for Educators, Art & Science of Education, Developing Culturally Proficient Educators for a Democratic Society, Collaboration: Co-Teaching, Instruction, and Working with Families, and Sheltered English Immersion. Lynn is also the graduate chair for the master’s degree program in curriculum and teaching. Lynn was previously the project manager for the Transforming Education and Schools for English Learners (TESEL) grant. This was a multi-year federal grant aimed at increasing the number of ESL licensed teachers, providing ESL professional development to STEM teachers, school leaders, and administrators, and improving teacher education at Fitchburg State University. She is a former ESL teacher for the Fitchburg Public Schools and also taught in Kosovo. Lynn received her doctorate from the University of New England with a research focus on the referral of English learners to special education.
