Biography

I have been an advocate for bilingualism and bilingual education for over two decades. I serve as dual language specialist in the Department of Multicultural Education in the School District of Palm Beach County, the 10th largest school district in the nation. My advocacy for language learners and biliteracy has involved me in various initiatives throughout the years, promoting educational and linguistic equity. As speaker in conferences at the local and national level, I have influenced teachers and administrators across the nation in shaping their understanding, not just of bilingualism, but of languages in general and their role in society.
