Biography

Victor Chacon currently serves as a 3rd and 4th Grade Reading Language Arts and Social Studies Dual language Teacher at Lakewood Elementary in Dallas ISD. Victor earned his B.A. and M.A. in TESOL from City College, CUNY, New York. Victor started his teaching journey at the New York City Teaching Fellows Program. He has worked with a variety of student populations including Newcomer, Heritage language, Dual language and Gifted and Talented students for over 20 years. He is a proud ambassador of Leader in Me at his school. He is a proponent of Cooperative Learning in the Dual Language Classroom, and he incorporates small group and collaborative strategies in his lessons.
