Shelli Shadday is an assistant principal at a language immersion school in Tulsa Public Schools. She has over 20 years of experience in the field of language development. Shelli holds a Bachelor’s in Communication from the University of New Mexico,a Master’s of Education in Curriclum and Instruction from the University of Illinois at Chicago, and a Masters of Reading from Concordia University - Chicago. Shelli spent 11 years teaching in Chicago Public Schools as an ELA/ELD teacher, EL Coach, and MTSS Coordinator. In addition, she taught ESL in an elementary school in Costa Rica as well as ESL to adults in various Family Literacy programs throughout the city of Chicago. She is a bilingual (Spanish) teacher and reading specialist who is passionate about ensuring multilingual learners receive the supports and services they need for an equitable education.
