Iggy Monsalve is a doctoral candidate at Florida International University and a scholar in Project INCLUDE, a federally funded program that prepares graduate students pursuing a PhD in Teaching and Learning with a specialization in special education. She is a certified educator in Elementary K-6, Special Education K-12, and Computer Science K-12. She has worked in MDCPS since 2010, having served as a special education and general education teacher for grades K-5. Her research interests include the application of technology in education, inclusionary practices in computer science education, and the improvement of services for culturally and linguistically diverse students with disabilities in urban schools.
