Natasha A. Neumann, Ed.D. – Dr. Neumann is an Assistant Professor in the Educational Leadership and Administration Program (ELAP). She served for 22 years as an elementary bilingual teacher, middle school English Language Development (ELD) and Single-Subject Spanish teacher, high school ELD teacher, district curriculum coordinator, elementary school principal, and part time bilingual program faculty at Loyola Marymount University before joining Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. Her areas of research interest are addressing the continued need for equity, specifically for emerging bilinguals in K-12 education, the development of dual language immersion programs in school districts, and the preparation of bilingual leaders and teachers to support multilingual programs in elementary education. Dr. Neumann received her bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Spanish Literature from the University of California, San Diego and MA in School Leadership from Azusa Pacific University. She earned her BCLAD from the San Diego City School’s Bilingual Education Credentialing Alternative Intern Program. Dr. Neumann earned her Ed.D. from the Rossier School of Education at the University of Southern California. Dr. Neumann holds a BCLAD multiple-subject teaching credential, Single-Subject Spanish credential, and the California Professional Administrative Services Credential.
