Biography

JoAnn Archer is currently the XR Solutions Portfolio Manager at Design Interactive where she is responsible for defining the strategic vision, business objectives and requirements for the XR immersive product lines. Through leading the successful completion of numerous XR DOD and government funded projects, JoAnn ensures immersive training products are developed utilizing applied research that keep XR products on the bleeding edge and provide a competitive advantage when transitioning to end users. Her work focuses on the design, development, testing, and transition of XR immersive training and job aid solutions, specifically ensuring that the solutions are optimized for their specific users, tasks, and context of use. JoAnn led a cross functional team thru the development, test, and evaluation of AUGMED®, an XR adaptive medical training tool, which is currently being transitioned across the DOD. JoAnn has 15 years of experience in system engineering and program management. Prior to her work at Design Interactive, she was a lead engineer for NASA with a variety of positions in operations, requirements, and management for the Space Shuttle, Spacelab, and International Space Station programs. JoAnn holds her Professional Education certificate and has served as an educator in Seminole County Public Schools teaching STEM, math, and science across multiple grade levels.
