As the Director of Assessment and Accountability for an urban school district, Christina Cail-Lewandowski explores systems that help measure and track progress, fostering a culture of accountability and shared responsibility. With a keen interest in data, collaborative cultures, and shared accountability, she excels at using data to build environments where all stakeholders take ownership of their outcomes. Her motto, "What gets measured and monitored gets done," drives her systematic, step-by-step approach to addressing complex challenges and ensuring that everyone plays an active role in driving success.
Before stepping into her current role, Christina’s experience as a science teacher and school principal equipped her with the expertise to deliver impactful presentations on educational technology, assessments, and data. She has presented at institutions like the University of Illinois (The Tech Savvy Leader), Columbia University (A Data Story using Panorama), Northwest Evaluation Association (NWEA- Using MAP Fluency), and Panorama (Chronic Absenteeism) sharing her insights on how technology and data can drive educational success.
Outside of work, Christina enjoys spending time with her family, whether attending her son’s basketball games and track meets, shopping with her granddaughter, or enjoying quality moments with her daughter, mother, and husband.
