Jacob M. Miracle is the acting Division Chief for the Experimentation Division, Software Directorate, Air Force Sustainment Center, Air Force Material Command. Mr. Miracle guides development of simulated prototyping, experimentation, and developmental test tools used across the Department of Defense. He provides engineering and technical management direction on the integration of digital engineering, DevSecOps, and emerging government reference architectures into modern systems. He oversees software development activities at the Software Directorate, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base Operating Location.
Prior to his current position Mr. Miracle served in various roles as a technical expert, advising senior leaders on digital engineering, modeling and simulation, software data rights and computing architectures. He served as the lead engineer for the Air Force’s operational training infrastructure modernization program bringing cloud computing technologies to the Air Force’s simulator enterprise.
Mr. Miracle was recruited as an Air Force civilian engineer through the COPPER CAP internship program in 2008 where he began his career as a student trainee developing operations research analysis software. Mr. Miracle’s civilian service career spans over 16 years with an emphasis on enhancing Air Force capabilities using emerging computing technologies.
