Biography

Dr. Rosalba González is a passionate educator and advocate for equity, multilingualism, and whole-child education. With over 33 years in education, she has dedicated her career to serving the Los Angeles community and beyond in a variety of impactful roles. Dr. González has served as a classroom teacher, parent educator coach, Pupil Services and Attendance (PSA) Counselor, and School Attendance Review Board (SARB) Chair. Her leadership experience includes roles such as Title I Coordinator at the LEA level, Assistant Principal, and High School Principal, where she led efforts to improve academic outcomes and school climate for diverse student populations. As a Project Director, Community Schools Regional Technical Assistance Center (RTAC), Dr. González advanced collaborative, cross-sector strategies to support student success. Currently, she serves as a Program Manager for Multilingual Education at the San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools, where she continues to champion language equity, dual language immersion, and the implementation of the California English Learner Roadmap. In addition to her K–12 leadership, Dr. González has served for the past four years as a Lecturer at California State University, Los Angeles, where she teaches in the Ethnic Studies Department. Dr. González’s work is guided by her unwavering belief in the power of education to transform lives and communities. She brings to every role a deep understanding of school systems, a commitment to culturally and linguistically responsive practices, and a passion for uplifting underserved voices.
