Biography

Dr. Rodolfo Bonatti is an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Department of Ophthalmology. He contributes his passions to treating glaucoma and other areas of expertise in the field. Recognizing the enduring nature of glaucoma, he enjoys engaging with patients to explore tailored treatment options. From experience in private practice and academia, his proficiency extends to medical and surgical glaucoma interventions, including laser procedures, trabeculectomy, tube shunts, and minimally invasive surgeries. Early in his academic journey, Dr. Bonatti completed his Ophthalmology residency (2017-2020) and an Oculoplastic fellowship (2019-2021) at Hospital das Clinicas of the University of Sao Paulo, Brazil. He furthered his ophthalmic expertise in completing a Glaucoma fellowship (2022-2023) at Dalhousie University Department of Ophthalmology & Visual Sciences in Nova Scotia, Canada.
