Biography

Godfrey Arinze Uzochukwu, PhD, Professor, is the founding director of the Interdisciplinary Waste Management Institute (WMI) of North Carolina A&T State University. Dr. Uzochukwu completed his B.S. and M.S. degrees at Oklahoma State University and his PhD degree at the University of Nebraska. He was a Post-Doctoral Scholar at Texas A&M University before joining the faculty of North Carolina A&T State University. He teaches geology, mineralogy, soil genesis & landuse, environmental sciences and waste management. Dr. Uzo is among EPA's 47 member Science Advisory Board (SAB) and He serves on EPA's Scientific and Technological Achievement Awards (STAA) panel. He is member of the City of Greensboro’s Solid Waste Management Commission.
