Biography

I use high power laser to create innovative manufacturing processes, I also lead probably one of the largest laser safety research groups interested in developing control strategies to produce inherently safe laser systems. Recently involved in the optical design and laser safety of the 'Laser Snake' project at Sellafield - where laser fume was a key safety issue. I have been actively involved in laser fume research for over 30 years
