Biography

I am PhD student working in the field of radiochemistry and purification of waste containing radioactive contaminants, especially iodine. At the moment, I am working in University of Helsinki at Ion Exchange for Nuclear Waste Treatment and for Recycling research group and we are interested in different purification methods regarding all kinds of radioactive waste. Our research group have successfully developed highly selective inorganic ion exchange materials that have been utilized in more than 60 industrial applications worldwide in the nuclear industry and produced scientific knowledge understanding on the origin of selectivity to tailor new materials for the nuclear field.
