Biography

Po Ki Tse received her Bachelor’s of Science in Chemistry from the University of Washington in 2017 and with an undergraduate thesis on the spectroscopic analysis of carbonyl vibrational modes in deuterated electrolytes for energy storage application in Dr. Cody Schlenker’s lab. She then began pursuing her PhD degree in Dr. Jenifer Shafer’s group at the Colorado School of Mines. Her thesis primarily focuses on applying spectroscopic-chemometric based on-line monitoring to complicated solution matrices including used nuclear fuel and Hanford tank waste and utilizing spectroscopy paired with electrochemistry to study the electrochemical oxidation of lanthanides.
