Biography

I am a Postdoctoral Research Fellow working at the University of Birmingham, UK, as part of the TRANSCEND consortium for research into nuclear decommissioning and waste management. My current research concerns developing new methods and materials for remediation of radioactive waste streams, such as spent fuel cooling ponds. I received my Doctor of Philosophy in Chemistry from the University of Bath, UK, where I was studying the synthesis and structure of zeolite mineral materials used in catalysis, gas storage, petrochemical, and nuclear industries.
