Biography

I completed a Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering at the University of Sheffield in 2016. My dissertation project investigated the use of glass fibre composites for self-sensing aerospace components. I then completed a PhD in nuclear waste immobilisation. My PhD research has concentrated on the modification of glass compositions to assess the effect on caesium volatility and the implementation of in-situ spectroscopy systems to monitor off-gas evolution. my postdoctoral research has included glass formulation for HLW and ILW and the synthesis of SIMFuels.
