Biography

PhD in Nuclear Structure Physics led to 9 years working in radiation shielding & criticality safety. Changed to work with universities developing high power lasers as a tool for nuclear decommissioning, and then explore other decom technologies. Started working in technical support of Sellafield Highly Active plant in 2007 and continued until present day. Now Technical Lead on part of Advanced Fuel Cycle Programme to explore how to handle and process HA aqueous waste in a future recycling plant.
